As we approach the spring of 2020 it is still doubtful about the future of the Rotary member-to-member connection. But it's clear that the hand-to-face tradition will continue to be part our routine. Rotary, however, has changed. There is no certainty about the way in which our work with humanity can be incorporated into the highly coveted connections between people that Rotary Members enjoyed during the earlier time. Even though the "hands looking outwards" mantra is sure to become part of daily routines in the club it is clear that the feeling of security is developing, and more people are making face-to faces connections. The reality is that Rotary has changed. Man volunteers clean up trash. volunteering through the networks of Rotary makes lasting connections outbreak of the pandemic opened our eyes to the technology of the Rotary world. We've honed the way we conduct meeting online for business while introducing service and social activity in a safe face-to-face format. New possibilities have been combined with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies to create a new and exciting future for Rotary. In a recent Rotary survey, it was encouraging to see that around 75% of clubs are planning for their business routine events" The warmer months saw many of our members out and about focussing on projects such as cleaning the beach and river, litter picking, and of course the ongoing service for the community from Rotary volunteer teams giving their time to support COVID vaccine and test centers. It was great to find out that according to a recent Rotary research study, 75% were still thinking about their usual programs and community-based projects that were beneficial for communities all over Great Britain. Furthermore, I'm extremely pleased to note that the Rotary Support Team has continued to provide invaluable resources in order to promote and assist with these projects. Also, they manage infrastructures that keep members safe and ensure the safety of the general public. Insurance and compliance is crucial. We're so pleased with how innovative our members can take on some of society's toughest problems. Rotary has provided me, just and many other people, with a network of like-minded, trustworthy people from whom I've formed genuine relationships over the past 20 years.
